When my garage door initially broke I called another garage door company who came out, quickly provided me a quote for almost $3000 to replace the door and then charged me $400 just to pull the garage door down. Not knowing any better I paid the amount to ensure the door would close. After speaking with other people, I was encouraged to get a second opinion and quote. Ultimately, the door did not need to be replaced but the cord system that the other company damaged now had to be replaced.
